Who has access to my Kind Neighbor website?

Kind Neighbor is for the owners, residents, and staff for each building. Only owners and residents who register with email and unit address will have access to the site once approved, along with the possibility for employees of the association. We validate all users at initial login through email verification process or direct contact.

Is my information confidential?

The data entered to the site is private to those registered on the Kind Neighbor for this association. We will not sell, distribute, or disseminate your personal information, or disclose discussions.

Do I have control of my own information?

At signup and through My Account functions, you control what information you want displayed about yourself. Of course, the more information the better the site will be for all, but if you want to suppress your email and phone numbers from display, you can so. You can even select the unlisted options, where none of your information will be listed on the site. You will still be able to receive email through Kind Neighbor's network via your unit number without publishing your name, address, and respond directly as well.

Who is Kind Neighbor?

Kind Neighbor is offered by Imperial Consulting, Inc., which is a technology consulting firm to the financial services industry. Partners in the firm have personal interests in several Boston real estate associations, and know the need to improve ongoing communications facing their condominiums. The technology and software they've recently developed for financial services industry could easily be adapted for this use?..so here we are! And yes, we intend to be active users of this service ourselves since we are residents.

Will you be advertising or sending pop-up's promotions to me?

We include some advertising with direct interests to you and the community, as a method to defray costs for operating our service. We may target and encourage local merchants who wish to promote their services and special offers to our residents. But your personal data will never be revealed. When we do have advertisements they will unobtrusive, such as the Amazon ad currently displayed on the site. We will NOT send obnoxious pop-up advertisements. Remember, the Kind Neighbor team members are users of this service too, and we sure don't like pop-up's!

Why the long User Agreement?

We want to operate a good service for the community with full disclosure, so have followed the standards set for many quality online communities in protecting all parties involved.

Why do you send out email notices with each posting on site?

This is just to help launch of website, and to let you know when there is activity of possible interest to you. In the near future, you will be able to opt in for the type of notices you would like to be informed of on your text message or email device. This is essential for when you're traveling and need possible urgent updates about your home.

Are you installing anything on my computer like cookies?

A cookie is a small piece of information which is sent to your computer's memory (per session cookies) or hard drive (stored cookies) by a web server so that a site can remember who you are. The only thing we are storing on your computer when you use Kind Neighbor is your UserID for reentry to the site. Nothing else.
